Andre
Reynaldo Lucero
An
oil painter whose work is primarily composed of plein air landscapes,
still life and figurative paintings done from life, Andre Lucero lives
and maintains a studio in Richmond, Virginia. He combines draftsmanship
of the Academic School with the Impressionists' advances in color and
brushwork, capturing the drama and beauty of common places and objects.

He says of his work, "Painting is my passion. I was trained in a
more traditional academic setting receiving a BFA, cum laude degree in
1989, and soon after built a successful career producing numerous award
winning illustrations for many national publications." In recent
years, Andre has rededicated himself to his painting career combining
his love of the outdoors with his art. He says, "It is most exciting
attempting to capture on the spot the way light falls on a beautiful scene
or a fleeting aspect of nature."
