RÉMY E. LANDEAU (FRENCH, 1859-1931)

ARTIST BIOGRAPHY

Rémy E. Landeau was born on October 8, 1859, in Sèvres, France. He was a painter of landscapes, genre scenes, and flowers. He studied with the master teacher, Leon Pallandre.

 

Landeau began to exhibit at the Society of French Artists in Paris in 1905 and continued to exhibit there often. He was elected President of the Parisian Society of Flower Painters, as well as named a Chevalier de la Légion d'Honneur by the French government.

 

Landeau died in 1931.
