ARTIST BIOGRAPHY
Robert S. Austin was born in the Philadelphia area sometime in the 1800s.
Little is known about this artist, as he did not show his paintings at exhibit venues but concentrated his time on creating commissions for his patrons and clients. He is known for his clipper ship paintings.
One of his works hangs in the Mariner Museum, Newport News, VA.
