ARTIST BIOGRAPHY
Pierre Nicolas Euler was born in Lyon, France on January 12, 1846. He was a painter of still lifes, flowers and fruits. He studied at the l’Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Lyon from 1860 to 1865 under the tutelage of Jean-Marie Reignier. His favorite subject matter were flowers and fruit.
He debuted in Lyon in 1875 and in Paris in 1895. He was awarded a first-place prize in Lyon in 1895 and a medal from the Paris Salon in 1904.
The height of his career was at the turn of the 20th century.
Pierre Nicolas Euler died in 1915 in France.
Today, his works can be found in private and public collections, worldwide, including at museums in Angers, Clermont-Ferrand and Montpellier.
