ARTIST BIOGRAPHY
Francois Gabriel was born in France in 1893. He was a painter of still life paintings, flowers, and fruits as well as landscapes. His subjects are often flowers, fruit, butterflies, seafood, and birds. Gabriel emulated the 17th-century Dutch still-life paintings. Not much is known about this artist but when his still life paintings appear in the current art market, they are very well sought after. Francois Gabriel eventually came to New York City. He died in 1993 either in France or the USA.
