QUIET MOMENTS: COAST to COAST

JIM MCVICKER & GEORGE VAN HOOK

March 16 - Summer 2017

Featuring the recent paintings of Jim McVicker and George Van Hook.

McVicker hails from Humboldt County in northern California. Painting from life, in both his studio and outdoors, his impressionistic oeuvre contains landscapes, still lifes, and figure paintings that capture the quiet moments of sensitivity and beauty all around us. Originally inspired by the Pennsylvania Impressionists, Van Hook’s paintings are a marriage of external and internal forces - the moments that emerge on canvas reflect both the beauty of the world and the artist’s innermost response. He currently resides in Cambridge, New York.

Join us in celebrating both artists during a wine and hors d'oeuvres opening reception. This is McVicker’s first two-man exhibition with the gallery, so please join us in welcoming him. Both artists will be present all three days - take the opportunity to say hello!
